About Startup in Residence
Startup in Residence is an innovative collaboration between the City of Amsterdam and startups. The programme invites Dutch and international startups to devise innovative solutions to social issues. Since its initiation in 2015, five successful programmes have been realized. Preparations for the next programme in the beginning of 2020 are in full swing.
The Programme offers startups an intensive training programme, as well as the support of professional coaches or mentors. The startups will also be provided with working space and have access to the municipality’s network.
If solutions prove successful, the City will invest in them as an investor or launching customer and thereby significantly kick-start the startup’s career. The City seeks to work with (starting) businesses in a transparent manner to translate good ideas into solutions to social challenges.

Branches Circulaire Economie
Met de branchegerichte aanpak werkt de gemeente samen met kansrijke doelgroepen: welwillende, soortgelijke organisaties uit dezelfde branche waarop verduurzaming een grote impact kan hebben. Deze organisaties zijn vaak knooppunten van meerdere waardeketens. Een hotel kan bijvoorbeeld impact maken door het gebouw te verduurzamen, maar heeft ook invloed op de consumptie van goederen en voedsel van zijn gasten.
Door dit soort organisaties samen te laten werken binnen hun branche, vergroten we hun impact en versnellen we de circulaire transitie.Contactpersoon Branches: r.oorsprong@amsterdam.nl
